The BASA Awards: Terms and Conditions
These are our Terms and Conditions to regulate the relationship between the BASA Awards Organizer and the Participants.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before registering. By registering for the BASA Awards, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
I. Definitions and Terms of the Agreement
For clarification and comprehension of the BASA’s Terms and Conditions, herein are basic definitions and terms and their meaning:
Competition: The BASA Awards – online awards competition
Organizer: BASA
Participant: Any physical or judicial body registered and paid the fees to participate in the competition, available on the Website and external platform Zealous.
Website: Digital platform where participants receive official information about the competition. The third-party Award platform Zealous, where the application forms must be uploaded.
Content/Materials: Any material such as video, text, images, posts, audio, graphics, and URLs uploaded on the Website and Zealous platform or the online voting system.
Partner companies – All sponsors and organizations supporting the principles of the competition.
II. Online process of Registration
Participants are required to pay an entry fee to register for the competition. They should then complete an online registration form on the BASA website and Zealous platform. The organizers can accept and/or disqualify competitors who submit false, wrong, or insufficient information. Any systematically wrong and false information shall be deleted and the agreement terminated. Only UK-based companies can submit applications.
III. Registration Fee
There is a registration fee that is shown on the BASA website. The due amount is based on the indicated price at registration. The fee must be paid before registration starts on Zealous. Any application pending payment shall not be accepted unless the payment is completed. Additional costs, such as trophy orders and delivery, are to be covered by the recipient.
Applicants will receive a confirmation email showing payment information for all successful registrations. An application is valid only after confirmation of the payment.
IV. Data Privacy and Processing
BASA's Organizers collect participants' data provided through the registration form. By registering for the competition, you agree to have your data collected and processed by the BASA organizer, sub-processor, suppliers, and partners. You agree to give truthful and accurate information.
The organizers reserve the right to store the collected data for 10 years to keep updated data about BASA's participants and Index. The organizers also have the right to reach out to the participating organizers and agencies to obtain updated company logos and other pertinent details for the BASA index. Data entered during the registration can be used as statistics by BASA during and after the competition.
The organizers retain the right to use the applicants' information to resolve conflicts or issues relating to the BASA Awards. BASA holds the right to use applicants' personal information to communicate with them for records, market research, publishing trends, and tracking activity, improving the BASA's development activities. BASA does not sell or rent applicants' personal information to other parties. BASA may provide special news and offers to anyone who joins the competition or subscribes to the newsletter or any other services from the Website.
V. Copyright
All copyrights and other rights related to the competition materials are properties of BASA organizers. The applicants or the participants can access the material only for personal use. Upon issued consent, the participants or applicant can reproduce and distribute such material in place of the BASA Organizers or the copyright holders.
For all the content that is uploaded online, the applicants or the participants. The BASA organizers do not hold any intellectual property rights over materials and content uploaded by the Participants.
The BASA organizers hold the right to remove illegal and copyrighted content with and without warning in case of arising issues. The law may need BASA organizers to reveal and disclose participants' identities in instances of infringement of copyright claims.
The BASA Awards organizers do not track or regulate any content or information the applicants upload. By registering, applicants agree not to upload false, fraudulent, offensive, sexually explicit, or illegal Content. The applicant must watch for copyright issues.
By registering for the BASA Awards and uploading your content on their website, you agree:
- Any content you upload is consistent with the applicable laws and regulations. To compensate the BASA organizers for any existing and relevant laws and regulations breaches.
- To permit other internet users to view your content
- To allow the BASA organizers to keep, display, and review the content
- To give the BASA organizers a non-exclusive right to use, change, distribute, display, and stream the uploaded content in competition through third-party websites, emails, social media, and other channels that the organizer may deem suitable.
All participants and applicants permit the BASA organizers to reproduce or duplicate their uploaded content to promote the awards and the awards results and outcomes. The BASA Organizers or their representative shall not be responsible for royalty payment. Applicants shall not hold the BASA Organizers or their representatives responsible for claims regarding uploaded material and content.
After the deadline, entries cannot be rectified, edited, or amended. Upon completion of filling out the entry, they are made public. During the public vote, a section of the entry will be availed to the public. After the winners' announcement, all the ratings and the judges' comments and remarks will be public.
VI. Refunds
There shall be no refunds upon completion of the nomination fee.
A participant cannot withdraw from the awards competition after the submission is completed on Zealous.
In the event of any changes in the competition, the BASA organizers hold the right to cancel or postpone the competition.
All the applicants who register for the BASA Award competition will automatically be subscribed to the newsletter. However, the applicants can have the right to unsubscribe at any time.
Based on the terms of negotiation between the Sponsor and the BASA Awards Organizers and the Sponsorship contract, the sponsorship fee can or cannot be reimbursed or refunded.
Merchandise Funds paid for the merchandise, including the duplicate awards, certification is non-refundable.
VII. Changes and Modifications
Suppose there is a need to adjust or combine categories because of few entry submissions or other causes influencing positively or negatively the judging process. In that case, the BASA Organizers can implement changes before voting. The Organizers shall also notify the participants about the changes via mail. No refunds will be made in such occurrences, but the organizers shall provide alternatives.
VIII. Jury
The BASA Organizers prohibit abuse directed towards or attempts to influence the competition's judges before, during, or after the Event. Such behaviors can and will lead to the offender's disqualification, revocation of the award, and the prohibition from participating in the Event in the future.
IX. Limitation of Liability

The BASA organizers are not responsible for any indirect or consequential losses because of the applicants' participation in the Competition.
The BASA organizer is not responsible for refunding the participants any fee paid in the Event of a force majeure, including earthquakes, natural disasters and calamities, war, terror attacks, and other events beyond the control of the BASA Organizers.
X. Privacy Policy
BASA Awards is dedicated to safeguarding the privacy and security of its website visitors. This Policy outlines our online information collection, disclosure, security practices, and measures implemented to provide a secure and compliant online environment. Your access to the Website implies an agreement and consent to the data practices outlined in this Policy. Please read and review this Policy before using the Website. If you disagree with the data practices herein, please exit the Website.

XI. Withdrawing from the competition
You can withdraw one or more entries from the competition and receive a refund of the entry fees paid for those entries until a specified date by the BASA Organizers. After this date, withdrawals are still possible, but refunds will not be issued. However, in the event of extraordinary circumstances after August 24, if we must submit your entries for judging before entry fees are paid, your entries will become non-revocable, and entry fees will be due.
XII. Final Decision
If there is a disagreement regarding the category for judging an entry or entries, the BASA Awards staff will make the final decision. Judges have the authority to suggest the reassignment of an entry to a different category, and the BASA Awards staff may, at their discretion, alter the category of an entry.
We will not return any offline material submitted as part of your entries.
XIII. Trophy Shipping Fees
Winners interested in ordering the Atlanta Trophy can pay a fee for the physical trophy as part of their award. Those who choose not to opt-in for the physical trophy will still be recognized as valid winners but will not receive the trophy via shipment.
Shipping fees payable will be as follows.:
Shipments to United Kingdom.
The Atlanta Trophy is a meticulously crafted, hand-made design uniquely created in Italy by the internationally acclaimed artist Ithaca. The Trophy will be shipped directly to you from the artist's studios in Italy or Germany on our behalf.
• £290 per Gold Atlanta Award trophy. Plus duties and shipping fees.
• £290 per Silver Atlanta Award trophy. Plus duties and shipping fees.
• £290 per Bronze Atlanta Award trophy. Plus duties and shipping fees.
We reserve the rights to change these fees at any time.
Shipments to All Other Nations
If for any reason you want the Trophy to be sent to any part of the world, we will contact you and inform you about any price difference.Trophies will need be shipped by FedEx International Economy, DHL Express, or UPS and the extra fees will include all customs fees and taxes.
XIV. Winner Entries Publication
The complete text of Gold BASA Award-winning entries will be posted on the BASA website roughly three months after announcing the final results. BASA Gold Award winners can remove any sensitive or non-public details from their entries before they are published. If you have one or more Gold BASA Award-winning entries in the 2024BASA Awards, you consent to promptly address our request for any necessary revisions or redactions to those entries before publication.
XV. Policy review and change
The Organizer retains the right to modify the existing General Terms and Conditions at any time, providing prior notification of such changes via email and on the Website.
The relationship between the Organizer and the registration holder will be resolved and interpreted solely per the laws of the Organizer's country. The current General Terms and Conditions were approved by the Management Board of the Organizer on 31.12.2019, in their capacity as the Organizer of the Event.
XVI. Failure to Comply
Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions will render your entries ineligible. Entry fees will not be refunded.

The BASA Awards are exclusively made for small businesses. The competition is fair and only allows small businesses to fairly compete with each other. This competition is for small businesses to gain recognition and help them strengthen their connection with their existing or potential clients. There is no favoritism or nepotism in the BASA Awards.
