NATIONAL FINE ART APPRECIATION DAY

NATIONAL FINE ART APPRECIATION DAY-OCTOBER 25th, 2023

On October 25th of every year, the National Fine Art Appreciation Day is celebrated as a day for doing anything conceivable such as admiring, looking at, and studying art as well as buying it, which would end up appreciating the works of fine art. Throughout the day, many people express their awe at particular works of art, with some going as far as buying them from galleries. It is so amazing that the world’s most valuable painting was auctioned for more than $500 million.

HISTORY OF NATIONAL FINE ART APPRECIATION DAY

The National Fine Art Appreciation Day was founded in 2018 by a famous New York City-based art gallery called RoGallery. In honor of the gallery’s love for Pablo Picasso, a well-known cubist artist, October 25th was chosen. The gallery set up the day to enable visitors to appreciate artworks and demonstrate its dominance in the American art gallery sector for over 30 years. Another aim of the day is to motivate artists to create more intriguing, bold, and emotional art pieces.

Since the Paleolithic era in Ancient Egypt, humans have been putting their life experiences and imaginations on concrete surfaces with the artistic skill of the first men that can be seen in cave engravings dating back more than 3 thousand years. As man evolves, so do fine arts and styles such as mannerism, realism, cubism, and modern art have all resulted from diverse human historical timelines. Different art forms result from the purpose for which they were created. For instance, Romanticism ruled from the late 18th to the mid-19th centuries, encouraging painters to paint outside in the open. At the same time, around the year 1000 A.D., the early Christians used the artwork to communicate knowledge to most illiterate Christians.

WHY NATIONAL FINE ART APPRECIATION DAY IS IMPORTANT

Enables Glorifying of Artworks

The day offers enthusiasts of fine arts a perfect chance to praise and glorify the most beloved artwork and, at times, offer an interpretation of a painting, thus allowing individuals a means to express themselves personally.
